While most kids were at soccer practice, DJ Shade was putting in hours at one of Boston’s hottest nightclubs as an assistant to the manger. A mentor to him, his manager was once a successful DJ, who spun at the likes of Studio 54 in New York City.

The DJ booth peaked Shade’s interest from the start, and soon enough he was opening for DJ Adilson, Roxy’s resident DJ at the time. He was only 18.

Since then he has played at venues & other events all over Boston such as: Jukebox, Matrix, Pure, Underbar, Venu, Whiskey Park, Chippendales, and Joey & Maria’s Comedy Wedding.

Currently you can catch DJ Shade at Sagra Lounge in Davis Square every Friday night.
